His heavyweight remix confirms this and shows just why Reso chose him to be part of the package. Philadelphia’s Starkey (Planet Mu/Ninja Tune/Civil Music), delivers a frenzied revision. Ahead of this forthcoming album ‘Orbits’ due late Nov on Civil Music, Starkey combines his Street Bass sounds with Amen breaks and 8 bar grime to make a true club weapon. Munich’s Danny Scrilla released his first EP for Om Unit’s Cosmic Bridge label earlier this year and support for his raw sound was unanimous. Seemingly built on a template of vintage dubstep his remix subtly updates the dark sparse sound to a ‘slower than it feels’ 85bpm. Running double time the high hats add to the heavy head nodding roll and chest rattling subs of this ‘One to Watch’ artist. Look out for Danny Scrilla’s first EP for Civil Music late 2012. Japanese 2 x DMC world Champion DJ Kentaro closes out the package.
